Each phase of IK 2025 narrowed the direction of input to create more detailed information to lead to specific action. The plans all relate to one another to create a holistic implementation strategy.
- The Strategic Vision states the goals for the entire city.
- The Master Plan creates policy direction for land use and zoning to implement the Vision.
- The Neighborhood Plans give specific direction on where, what, and when it is done in each geographic area.
City staff is looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the City-wide Strategic Vision for the City of Kalamazoo. Imagine Kalamazoo 2025 has been working hard for 16 months to gather information to define the future direction of the community. We are happy to have your comments by email, writing (comments can be mailed or dropped off to Community Planning & Development, 415 Stockbridge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49001), Open Town Hall or by phone. We will close comments on July 7, 2017. We will be presenting the final document to the City Commission on July 17, 2017 for final adoption.
